Dr. Carlton T. Faulk, Sr.
Carlton T. Faulk, Sr., M.D., board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, founded Georgia Mountain Dermatology, LLC in 2008 to provide superior medical and surgical dermatologic care for the people of his community. His patients, of all ages, come from the Atlanta, Canton and North Georgia areas.
Dr. Faulk graduated with honors from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. After college, he returned to his home city of Augusta to attend the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) where, after graduation, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine. In 1994 he then completed his residency at the MCG Department of Dermatology where he served as Chief Resident.
After residency, Dr. Faulk joined his first practice, Carolina Mountain Dermatology, in Asheville, NC where he was a partner for seven years. Following his desire to return to his home state of Georgia, he then joined Marietta Dermatology Associates in Marietta and Canton, GA. After practicing for 6 1/2 years with MDA, he realized there was a great need for a dermatologist in the community where he lives. This led to his opening Georgia Mountain Dermatology in 2008 in Jasper, GA.
Dr. Faulk maintains memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Medical Association of Georgia, and is the founder of the Blue Ridge Dermatology Society. Dr. Faulk and his wife, Christy, reside in Talking Rock and have three grown children.
Jessica N. Crawford, PA-C, Diplomate Fellow, SDPA
Jessica N. Crawford, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant practicing at Georgia Mountain Dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, where she graduated with honors. Jessica then continued her education with a graduate degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
She began her career as a Physician Assistant in plastic and reconstructive surgery where she worked for four years. She then began her pursuit in the field of dermatology. Jessica has developed a love and passion for both general and surgical dermatology with a special interest in the cosmetic aspects of the field including Botox, fillers, laser treatments and skincare.
Jessica is a diplomat with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is certified by the State of Georgia Composite Medical Board as well as the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Outside of medicine, Jessica loves to spend time with her husband and two children. She also loves to cook and spend time outdoors.
Erica P. Weddington, MMSc, PA-C, Diplomate Fellow, SDPA
Erica P. Weddington, MMSc, PA-C, Diplomate Fellow, SDPA, is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She received her Bachelor of Health Science from Mercer University in 2014 and continued her education at Mercer University by earning her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Erica launched her Physician Assistant career in the Urgent Care setting where she gained broad experience evaluating and treating patients of all ages and complaints. She joined Georgia Mountain Dermatology in 2018 with a primary focus on medical dermatology.
Erica is certified by the Georgia Composite Medical Board as well as the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants. Erica is recognized as a Diplomate Fellow by the SDPA.
Erica is a Georgia native and now resides in Marietta with her husband. In her free time, Erica enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and indulging in good food and wine!
Rachel P. Stephens, MPAS, PA-C
Rachel P. Stephens, MPAS, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant practicing at Georgia Mountain Dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida, working for the Florida House of Representatives before ultimately deciding to pursue a career in medicine. Rachel completed her post-baccalaureate pre-medical education at Tallahassee Community College. She completed her Master in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Florida.
Rachel began her medical career in emergency medicine where she treated patients of all ages with a broad range of illnesses and conditions. She practiced dermatology in Tallahassee, Florida before moving to North Georgia. Rachel joined Georgia Mountain Dermatology in 2023 with a primary focus in medical dermatology.
Rachel is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants as well as the Georgia Composite Medical Board. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and is in the process of completing the Diplomate Fellowship through the SDPA.
Rachel is an avid baker and also loves cooking, knitting, and painting. She lives in Canton with her boyfriend and their dog. They love to hike together in the beautiful North Georgia mountains.
