Our Team

Wonderful experience, wonderful team, beautiful facility...kind, courteous & professional. Jasper is lucky to have this world class doctor here, but I’d even drive an hour plus if he weren’t local. Dr. Faulk and the entire team are second to none!

Dr. Carlton T. Faulk, Sr.

Carlton T. Faulk, Sr., M.D., board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, founded Georgia Mountain Dermatology, LLC in 2008 to provide superior medical and surgical dermatologic care for the people of his community.  His patients, of all ages, come from the Atlanta, Canton and North Georgia areas.

Dr. Faulk graduated with honors from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology.  After college, he returned to his home city of Augusta to attend the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) where, after graduation, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine.  In 1994 he then completed his residency at the MCG Department of Dermatology where he served as Chief Resident.

After residency, Dr. Faulk joined his first practice, Carolina Mountain Dermatology, in Asheville, NC where he was a partner for seven years.  Following his desire to return to his home state of Georgia, he then joined Marietta Dermatology Associates in Marietta and Canton, GA.  After practicing for 6 1/2 years with MDA, he realized there was a great need for a dermatologist in the community where he lives.  This led to his opening Georgia Mountain Dermatology in 2008 in Jasper, GA.

Dr. Faulk  maintains memberships in the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Georgia Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Medical Association of Georgia, and is the founder of the Blue Ridge Dermatology Society.  Dr. Faulk and his wife, Christy, reside in Talking Rock and have three grown children.

In addition, his staff is a team who all provide a great experience from check in and beyond check out. We live in Buckhead but his practice is worth the drive. Dr. Faulk is a great dermatologist! I always feel confident that I’m being well cared for. He is compassionate and his patients care is very important to him and it shows. I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and I’ve recommended Dr. Faulk to several family members, who are happy patients as well. It’s great to have a dermatologist who I can completely trust to take excellent care of me! And, Dianna is fantastic and always puts a smile on my face.
